ART WOLFE

The son of commercial artists, Wolfe was born in Seattle, and though he travels nine months out of the year still is glad to call the city home.

He graduated from the University of Washington with Bachelor’s degrees in fine arts and art education, and these fields continue to inform his work every day. To see his photos, unique in their mastery of color, composition and perspective, is to experience first-hand the power of photography.

One of his lifelong goals is to win support for conservation issues by “focusing on what’s beautiful on the Earth.”

Wolfe’s breathtaking images of the world’s fast-disappearing wildlife, landscapes and native cultures do just that.

Tours and Workshops

As part of his mission to educate through photography, Art Wolfe now offers you these new International tours and North American workshops. From his years of experience, Art knows the right places – and the right time of year to shoot them. The tours and workshops are designed to give you the best opportunities to make the best captures.

During these journeys, Art shares his knowledge of the world around him and moves you with his curiosity and enthusiasm for places, cultures, and creatures great and small. He delights in sharing his vast accumulated experience and is passionate about helping each of his students hone his or her vision.

In both the Tours and the Workshops, you’ll be in the field shooting side by side with Art, and then once back at the group’s lodgings, benefiting from his critiques of your shots. The Workshops offer an additional component of classroom sessions in which Art details how he sees, sharing his techniques for capturing light, color and composition.

You’ll work hard and reap the rewards, but in the process of refining your vision you’ll also have a great time! These trips are a fantastic opportunity to immerse in your photography and Art will be right there giving you a personal and master photography lesson. You’ll have good company as well, sharing your ideas, images and love of photography with your fellow travelers.
